Privacy
Last updated 5 November 2026
This page explains what personal information this website collects and how it is handled. It is short because the website collects very little. WritFund itself, the donation platform, is still in development and will have its own privacy notice, described in section 2.
1. Who is responsible
WritFund is operated by Ahmed Information Systems Inc., a company incorporated in Canada in 1996. Questions about privacy, requests to see or correct information we hold about you, and complaints can be sent to privacy@writfund.ca.
2. WritFund the platform is not covered by this page
The WritFund donation platform is not yet open. It does not accept donations today, and no donor information is collected through this website. Before the platform accepts a first donation, we will publish a privacy notice for it. That notice will list what donors are asked for, why, who else handles it on our behalf, where it is stored, and how long it is kept. If you are looking for that, it does not exist yet, and we would rather say so than publish promises ahead of the product.
3. What this website collects
- No accounts, forms or sign-ups. There is nowhere on this site to enter personal information.
- No cookies set by us, and no analytics or advertising tools. We do not track visitors across this or any other website.
- Web server records. The site is hosted by Hostinger. Like most web hosts, a hosting provider may keep standard server records, such as the address a request came from, the time, and the page requested. We do not use these to identify visitors.
- Fonts loaded from Google. The page displays its typefaces by loading them from Google Fonts. When it does, your browser contacts Google’s servers, which receive your device’s IP address and the fact that a page asked for the fonts. We do not receive that information from Google.
4. If you email us
If you write to us by email (at info@writfund.ca, privacy@writfund.ca or another of our addresses), we receive your email address, your message, and anything you attach. We use it to reply to you and to keep a record of the conversation. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing email. Our mailbox is provided by an email hosting service.
5. Sharing
We do not sell personal information from this website or from emails sent to us, and we do not give it to advertisers. We may disclose information where the law requires it. (Information donors give to the platform, and what campaigns see of it, will be covered by the platform’s own privacy notice.)
6. Your rights and how to complain
Canada’s federal private-sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), sets out ten fair information principles, including openness, individual access, and challenging compliance. You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we are able to. Write to privacy@writfund.ca. If we do not resolve your concern, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
7. Changes
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. The privacy notice for the platform will be published separately, before launch.
